Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information AppFocus collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. App Focus (styled AppFocus) is the data controller for the information described here.

1. What we collect

From partners using the Partner Portal:

• Business name and partner code
• Contact person’s name, email address and phone number
• Business address, and GSTIN where you provide one
• Subscription, billing and payment history
• Login credentials — your password is stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in readable form

From website visitors who contact us: the name, email, phone and message you choose to send.

2. Payment information

This is important: we never see or store your card, UPI or netbanking details. Online payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. You enter those details directly into the Razorpay secure checkout. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number.

Razorpay’s handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.

3. Why we use it

• To provide, operate and support the software you subscribe to
• To raise monthly dues, take payment and issue receipts
• To contact you about your account, payments, and service matters
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not send marketing email you did not ask for.

4. Cookies

The Partner Portal sets a single session cookie (AFPORTAL) so that you stay logged in while you use it. It is strictly necessary for the portal to function, contains only a session identifier, and is deleted when you log out or close your browser. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for marketing by anyone else. We share it only:

• with our payment gateway, to process a payment you initiate
• where we are legally required to, such as a lawful request from an authority

6. How we protect it

• The Partner Portal is served only over HTTPS
• Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be read by us or recovered — only reset
• Payment confirmations are verified cryptographically before any account is credited
• Access to partner records is limited to authorised AppFocus staff

No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them as the portal grows.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and billing records for as long as you are a partner, and afterwards for as long as we are required to for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete information we are not obliged to retain.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete information we are not required to keep. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date.
